Change in the Executive Board of Werum Software & Systems AG

Werum is reshaping its top management: Jens Woehlbier will be appointed to the Executive Board effective 1 April 2026. He succeeds Carsten Stein, who is stepping down after twelve years.

Lüneburg, 1 April 2026 – Werum Software & Systems AG announces a change to its Executive Board: As of 31 March 2026, Carsten Stein will leave the board after twelve years of service. This decision is part of a long-term, age-related succession plan. To ensure a seamless transfer of know-how, Carsten Stein will remain with the company as a Senior Fellow until 2028.

At the same time, Jens Woehlbier will be appointed to the Executive Board effective 1 April 2026. He has already been with the company for one year and has provided important impetus during this time. As Director Corporate Development, he has successfully helped shape the direction of Werum’s service portfolio.

During his 25 years with the company, Carsten Stein, with his extensive expertise in sales and marketing, has helped secure demanding projects in industry, aerospace, and maritime environmental and climate research. He has also played a key role in sustainably positioning the Werum brand as a competent and reliable partner with strong technological expertise.

“My time at Werum has shaped me both professionally and personally and has been very fulfilling. I am pleased to remain connected to the company and to support its future development from a new perspective,” said Carsten Stein.

With Jens Woehlbier, the Executive Board gains a leadership personality who is already very familiar with the company and will actively help shape its strategic development.
