Managing the paperless plant



Summary
This article, which has been published in the UK-Magazine Manufacturing Chemist in September 2007, is a brief introduction into the concept of paperless manufacturing. It describes the installation of Werum´s MES PAS-X at two sites in Ireland. Nycomed trusts on PAS-X at its brand new plant in Carrigtohill near Cork. Biotech company Genzyme runs its production site in Waterford with PAS-X as well. On the occasion of an MES Day in Ireland, organized by Werum, the article specifies the advantages of MES.
