In this context one focus is on computerized testing procedures with local
measuring equipment or test benches, but the focus moves to solutions for
organized data management. Such systems join the results obtained at
distributed locations and in different phases of development. In addition
to the actual measured values data they provide a lot of further information,
i.e. details on who measured what, when, for what reason, using which
instruments and in what kind of configuration. And it goes without saying
that it should be possible to access this data from any location and at
any time. For such purposes Werum has defined HyperTest as platform for
information management.

| Test Data Management |

The test data management system DAVIS is designed to capture, process, visualize,
distribute, and archive test data streams. Special features of DAVIS are a high
degree of flexibility, an extremely fast management of data, and - last but not
least - the option also to process audio and video data in order to analyze
the ambient situation. This has been made possible by integrating the proven
realtime database system BAPAS-DB by Werum,
which is employed on more than 3,500 computer systems and is also available as individual product.
In automotive industry DAVIS systems are used, for instance, on test
benches and for controlling wind tunnel systems. In aerospace industry
DAVIS is a core component for developing highly sophisticated systems.

| Products for Special Tasks |

Based on the product DAVIS, Werum has developed the special variants
DAVIS-CAR and DAVIS-SHIP to meet the specific requirements in particular
fields of application. These variants not only offer the standard DAVIS
features but provide additional tailored functionality.
DAVIS-CAR is intended for users, who - in addition to the acquired measured
data - at the same time have to take into account visual information on the
ambient situation for evaluating all aspects of the experiments. For an
analysis of the overall test situation the test data are displayed synchronously
in the video data. Thus, influencing factors that could not be considered so
far, now can also be assessed.
DAVIS-SHIP takes
into account the special requirements placed on test data
management systems in maritime applications. DAVIS-SHIP is primarily employed
on research vessels. DAVIS-SHIP applications are running successfully on the
German research vessels POLARSTERN, METEOR, and SONNE.

| Earth Observation |

DIMS-EO is a distributed software system for administering digital data products - in
particular for the area earth observation via satellites. DIMS-EO provides comprehensive
functions for long-term archiving, the generation of products based on primary data received
from satellites as well as the administration, delivery and invoicing for these products including
online user services.
