Test Data Management
for Maritime Applications |

The DSHIP software, which is based on the Test Data Management System DAVIS,
is a highly scalable, flexible system used for recording, processing, visualizing, distributing,
and archiving measurement data taken at sea. It was originally designed to be employed on board research vessels.
However, its flexibility has made DSHIP a useful tool for a wide variety of applications in oceanography,
fisheries research and marine environmental monitoring.

Apart from the standard features it shares with the DAVIS software package,
DSHIP provides a number of additional functions, which meet the
specific requirements of marine applications

- Distribution of data on board the vessel, for example:
- via configurable NMEA clients

| Special Product Configuration for ROV
|
|
|
In order to meet requirements of the typical operational environment of Remotely Operating Vehicles (ROV),
Werum offers a special ROV product configuration that is down-sized and has fewer client workstations.

Since 1997, DSHIP has been successfully installed on board large and mid-sized German research vessels. Two examples of vessels using DSHIP are the RV POLARSTERN, one
of the world's most powerful polar research vessels, and the RV MARIA S. MERIAN, a state-of-the-art ice margin research vessel.
