Our Department for Remote Sensing (Earth Observation) designs and implements projects for national and international institutes and businesses. In this context, we also deploy many proprietary self-developed software products, among them DIMS-EO, a multi-mission information management system for remote sensing data.
As support for our international projects we are currently seeking a:
Software Developer (m/f)
for Remote Sensing (Environmental Satellites)
Your Responsibilities:
In the context of projects, you will design and implement information and processing systems for the ground segments of environmental satellites. The focus will be either on developing generic software modules for data management and processing or on configuring DIMS-EO for specific missions. In this position you will prepare analysis studies, design and implement products and also integrate the software.
Our Requirements:
Completed university degree
Strong/profound knowledge of Java EE, XML, and UNIX; experience in C, C++, UML preferred
Experience with database systems (PostgreSQL), development environments (Eclipse, CVS) and application servers
(JBoss); experience with scientific data processing preferred
Good command of written and spoken English
