- Medicaments can be reserved easily and comfortably from home
- The list of pharmacies is always complete and up-to-date

Solely in Germany, Pharmacy-POINT holds information on more than 100,000 products and 21,500 pharmacies in a central database. The system is used to promote sales and provides service to the customer that did not exist in the health sector so far. The health portal Pharmacy-POINT divides into four function areas:
- the virtual magazine 'eZine'
- the health forum for women, men and children
- the pharmacy search and
- the ordering of medicaments

| By advancing the eCommerce application GEHE-POINT,
a solution that is directed exclusively to pharmacists, GEHE now also appeals to
the end users all over Europe. B2B becomes B2B2C. Today, the countries Germany,
Great Britain, France and Austria are online. |

| The Technical Solution |
|
The technique is based on the following standard software products:
- ATG (Art Technology Group) supplies the eBusiness platform with their product Dynamo. Dynamo
generates the HTML page created dynamically as well as the static elements. Additionally, this
product takes on the server function and the complete link administration.
- Oracle provides the entire functionality for the Data Warehouse.
- The product TeamSite by Interwoven was chosen for as content management system.
Own editors use this solution to manage the entire web contents.
As general contractor Werum is development partner of Celesio and, thus, responsible for anything in the
Pharmacy-POINT project from consulting, over implementation up to the start-up. Today,
Werum also active in the field of maintenance and advancement in addition to their advisory functions.
